Bass was founded in 1876 by George Henry Bass, who was committed to making the most durable footwear available. When history was made in 1927 with the first trans-Atlantic airplane flight, pilot Charles Lindbergh was wearing Bass Aviation Boots.
G.H. Bass & Co. has developed, grown and expanded over the years, but its basic policies remain the same. We believe quality leather and thorough workmanship are the foundation of good shoemaking and strive to build the best possible shoe for the purpose for which it will be used. Continuing to thrive in today's overcrowded footwear industry, Bass is still setting the standard with modern styles and superior quality footwear for men, women, and children.
