Milton Florsheim began producing shoes in Chicago, Illinois in 1892 with his father, Sigmund. Their first shoes were of the highest quality workmanship, style and comfort. This aesthetic, along with a keen business sense turned Florsheim Shoes into an immediate success. Beginning with a small series of company-owned retail outlets, Florsheim developed over the years into a global organization of high standard shoe manufacturing that continues today with constant innovation and development.
